A very large hat that won’t crush when you bend it. It is made of braided and rolled cellulose fiber called Toyo, a Japanese invention. Ours is made with a especially light weight material containing no polypropylene or other plastics mixed in as is common in cheaper hats. It fully blocks the sunlight.

Each strand of fiber has been dyed multiple colors, so when you look at the hat, it has a pleasing complex color, rather than just sections of plain solid color.

We call this hat “Ravel’s Bolero” after the orchestral work that repeats with more and more instruments as it crescendos louder and louder.

This single size hat comes in three colors, each so lovely you can hardly resist . . . . and why should you?
